My trip to Porto Venere and Cinque Terre was nothing short of magical. Upon arriving in Porto Venere, I was immediately drawn to the colorful houses that lined the waterfront, creating a beautiful backdrop against the sparkling blue sea. I wandered through the narrow, cobblestone streets, soaking in the charming atmosphere and the scent of fresh seafood from local restaurants. One of the highlights was visiting the impressive church of San Pietro, perched on the cliffs, where I took in panoramic views that left me in awe. The combination of the rugged coastline and vibrant village life truly captivated my heart. When you're in Italy, you must do like the Italians do, so we took ourselves down to the rocks leading into the Ligurian Sea and went for a little swim. The water was very cold, but then you lay out on the hot stones and dry out.
While staying in Porto Venere we had easy access to Cinque Terre. With a ferry stop right outside of our hotel, we were able to experience the breathtaking villages and get a unique perspective of the stunning coastline. As we boarded the boat, the excitement was palpable, and I couldn't wait to see the colorful villages from the water. The gentle sway of the ferry and the salty breeze in my hair made the experience even more enjoyable. Gliding past the dramatic cliffs and emerald vineyards, I captured breathtaking views of each village as we passed by, with their vibrant facades nestled against the backdrop of the sea. Every stop felt like stepping into a postcard, and I loved having the opportunity to explore each charming town. Stopping to enjoy gelato and interact with locals, further enriched my experience. Every moment spent in this stunning part of Italy felt like a dream, filled with beauty, adventure, and a deep appreciation for this remarkable coastline
